MARIAN KOŁODZIEJ - visual artist, outstanding Polish scene designer. He was a prisoner no 432 in Auschwitz Camp from the first day of its existence (June 14, 1940) until the end of the War II. For the last 50 years of his life he was silent about the matter of the camp. Due to an illness in the middle 1990's he felt a inspiration of the words of the poet Herbert: ‘You remain alive not in order to live, you have very little time; the testimony must be given’ . Through his words and drawings of the ‘Frames of Memory’ he takes us into the labyrinth of memories of what he survived and experienced.
