Custodial Retreat 24th-28th September, 2018
During the last week of September 2018, the friars of the Blessed Agnellus of Pisa Custody had their annual retreat. The retreat was held in the Loreto Centre in Llandudno, a coastal town in north Wales, and the Retreat Director was Fr Jonathan Cotton O.S.B. The theme of the retreat was ‘moving forward with God’s grace’ – a reflection on how communities of consecrated religious might experience spiritual growth in their lives of prayer and faith while being fully engaged with the world they live in.
The friars enjoyed a peace-filled and joyful week together, centred on the Holy Mass, the Divine Office, Lectio Divina, guided reflections, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, common meals and fraternal time together. The friars would like to thank Fr. Jonathan for his warmth, humour and honesty, and the Sisters of Loreto for the kind welcome and hospitality they received.
The friars would also like to extend a warm note of gratitude to the staff at the Loreto Centre, who looked after them so well and greatly added to the quality of retreat with their kindness and generosity.
