FRIARS IN FORMATION RECEIVE THE MINISTRY OF ACOLYTE

On the Feast of the Presentation, 2nd February, the Very Reverend Peter Damian Massengill, OFM Conv, Provincial Custos of Great Britain & Ireland presided over a special ceremony for the institution of the Ministry of Acolyte upon Friar Benedict Abugu, and Friar Gerard Mary Toman.
The Ministry of Acolyte is received by students during their time of preparation for priesthood. The responsibilities of an acolyte are to assist the deacon and priest in liturgical celebrations and to distribute communion as a special minister.
Please pray for Friar Benedict and Friar Gerad in their special ministry as Acolytes, and for all student friars and Seminarians.
