FRIAR MAXIMILIAN MARY ORDAINED TO THE DEACONATE

On the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, 6 August 2016, Friar Maximilian Mary Martin, OFM Conv. was ordained to the Deaconate in his home Parish of Our Lady, Queen of Peace in Braintree, Essex. The Most Reverend Kevin McDonald, Archbishop Emeritus of Southwick presided.
The people of Our Lady, Queen of Peace Parish, together with their Parish Priest, Monsignor William Nix, welcomed the Greyfriars, and provided a wonderful celebration thanks to their excellent choir and long time and well trained servers.
Also present were Friar Alban McCoy, OFM Conv., who brought Maximilian back into the Catholic Church, as well as his primary school teacher who had prepared him for his First Holy Communion and Confession.
