Investiture of Friar Terence

Fr. Terence Bateman was clothed with the habit and entered his Novitiate on 31st October, 2018. The ceremony took place in the chapel of the Formation House in Oxford, and was presided over by Custodial Vicar Fr. Jesmond Pawley, as the appointed representative of the Custos. Fr. Terence was granted permission to spend his Novitiate in the Oxford Friary; this is a time of deepening and growing into the awareness of God’s call and of living as part of the Franciscan family. As a priest, Fr. Terence brings with him a wealth of experience that will surely enrich the life of the order.
